Volunteer

In consideration of my being allowed to volunteer at the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, I agree that my visits to the Humane Society and all my activities while there will be undertaken at my own risk, and I acknowledge that I understand those risks.  Neither the Bainbridge Humane Society, nor any Humane Society employees, shall be liable for any claims, demands, injuries, deaths, damages, or costs (including reasonable attorney’s fees), or any nature of any kind, suffered by me or my property or property used by me, or for any actions or causes of actions whatsoever, arising out of, or in any way connected with, indemnify, and hold harmless the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society and all employees and officials thereof from all such claims, demands, injuries, damages, cost, actions and causes of actions.

 I understand the inherent danger associated with dealing with and/or being around animals as well as the inherent danger associated with volunteering at the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society.

While volunteering at the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society I agree to abide by the set rules, which are as follows:

• Must be 16 years of age. If under 16 years of age must have an adult read, agree to, and sign this form along with the volunteer and have an adult accompany volunteer.
• Must inform an employee before attempting any task at the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society.
• May not answer telephones, assist customers, take any form of currency, or complete any Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society paperwork
• Do not take animals out of cages without an employee present
• Do not mix litters of puppies together.
• Keep dogs separate on walks. Walk on the shelter’s side of the road, not the sports complex side.
• Do wear proper shoes. The floor is wet and slippery.

This agreement is binding up the undersigned as well as his or hers heirs, executors.  Administrators, and assigns, and this agreement is binding on the date it is signed and on all future dates that I may volunteer at the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society.
