Tar & Scrappy

THIS IS WHAT THE
HUMANE SOCIETY IS ALL ABOUT!

Hi Beth,
I thought I would give you an update on the boys. Scrappy is doing well.  Completely house broken and has learned what is "yours" and what is "mine". He is allowed to chew on "yours" but not on "mine". He knows simple commands such as sit, come and down.  We are working on stay. He loves to go for walks in the afternoon. I find that it helps both the dogs wind down after everyone gets home. He has been neutered and is doing fine and still thinks he is king.  Tar, what a success story.  He turned out to be wonderful.  We had our doubts in the begining. He did not like being an inside dog, couldn't get him house trained and then if you remember he ran away and came back a week later.  He has made some kind of turn around. He now weighs 64.5 pounds, has had all of his shots and is scheduled for his neuter on December 15th. He is my shadow. When I leave the room he is right behind me.  We now have him house trained, he knows sit, come and down (when he wants to).  He will play fetch with a tennis ball and loves his squeeky toys. He and Scrappy play toug-o-war together. He knows he can win but usually gives in to the smaller dog. He is very protective of the house and yard. He stays inside with out a problem now but seems to want to spend more time outside since it is cooling off. I keep a watch on your website and it looks like you are staying busy at the shelter. My family and I want to thank you and your staff for all your hard work. If it wasn't for you all we would not have our boys and I don't know what we would do without them. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Sincerely,
