Katie and Molly (Rescue from July of 2005) Update

Hi!!

It’s been a while and we thought you’d like
an update on the two pups (Katie and Molly)
who we adopted on July 5, 2005.  They are
THE most spoiled dogs in the area,
I’m certain.  Katie and our youngest cat
(Athena) are nearly inseparable…and
Molly is quite content to be softly snuggled
as she chews her rubber bone contentedly.
Katie is now 51pounds of insatiable love and
Molly is a whopping 43 pounds of quiet snuggle.
BOTH of them are completely in-house but have
limitless (supervised) yard access (we’ve seen
too many stories of dogs stolen out of yards to
feel safe leaving them in their fenced yard unattended)
…leashed walks in the neighborhood nearly nightly
(they’ve made “barking friends” with the area dogs
nd cats)…and unlimited access to their favored
humans (Katie favors her daddy while Molly favors
me) on the couch nightly.

Presently, Randall and I are doing work in our back
office at the house.  The girls are at our feet (Katie
is nose-to-nose with the ever-purring Athena while
Athena’s feline brothers look on with amazement

a
s they don’t quite share her happiness over the
dogs).  If dogs could purr, these ladies would be.

It’s been two years of hilarious bliss around here
…and neither Randall nor I could imagine life
without these gals!  We’re completely and
continuously in love with the dogs…and I think
the feeling is quite reciprocated.  Thank you
for what you do…without your shelter, we would
have probably missed out on our family.
Katie and Molly thank you too…for giving them
a second chance at happiness.
